Berea Children’s Home and Family Services’ Holiday Shop Provides Christmas Gifts to the Children and Families We Serve

From December 7-December 23, 2011, Berea Children’s Home and Family Services’ Holiday Shop was open for agency staff to gather Christmas gifts and necessities for the children and families we serve. Located in the Jack and Marge Sayler Donation Center in Berea, Ohio, the Holiday Shop annually provides gifts such as brand new toys, clothing, baby items, gift cards and more to the clients and families Berea Children’s Home and Family Services’ serve.

Over 1,275 families and 2,988 children served by our agency and living throughout the state of Ohio, received gifts from our Holiday Shop this Christmas season. Businesses, Church groups, families and individuals from all over the State of Ohio donated to our agency, and we could not provide these gifts to our clients without their generosity! Our faithful group of 18 volunteers, led by Jack and Marge Sayler, donate many hours of their time to accept, sort and distribute the many holiday donations that our agency receives during this busy season.

Berea Children’s Home and Family Services is a passionate organization with passionate people committed to creating better lives for children and families. Annually, we serve over 13,000 children and families throughout the state of Ohio and 90% live at or below the poverty level. The holiday gift donations benefit the children and families we serve and help to ensure that they experience the joy of the holiday season, despite the many hardships they are facing.

The staff and clients of Berea Children’s Home and Family Services extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generosity and selflessness of our many donors and thank them for making the 2011 season brighter for our children and families.
