New BCHFS Cleveland Mid-Town Campus Opens
Berea Children’s Home and Family Services is centralizing its four Cleveland offices into a new, 40,000 square foot Cleveland Mid-Town Campus located at 3500 Carnegie Avenue.

This new, highly visible campus will house 200+ staff and includes 3 conference rooms, 4 training rooms and 18 meeting/classrooms for client meetings, group sessions, parent training, literacy and employment training. There will be a synergistic effect of having staff and service programs located in close proximity, allowing for convenient cross referral of clients to other appropriate services and programs.

Many are surprised to find that Berea Children’s Home and Family Services has such a large presence in Cleveland. Since 1990, Berea Children’s Home and Family Services has had offices and staff in Cleveland Mid-Town. Over the years, services to Cleveland residents have grown to where we provide nearly 75,000 services to individuals in the city of Cleveland annually, with 86% of the services provided in the homes of the children and families we serve. In-Home services include mental health counseling, parent mentoring, adolescent and child mentoring and juvenile diversion services. Providing services in the home for our clients is innovative and effective in engaging clients who are struggling with poverty. In-Home Services overcome transportation obstacles and allow our staff to work with children and families in their home environment.

Berea Children’s Home and Family Services is grateful for the financial generosity, advocacy and support of the Comella family. The agency will name the new facility in honor of Charles Comella, who first leased space to the organization in 1990.
