BCHFS Opens New Stark County Office
Berea Children’s Home and Family Services' In-Home Family Treatment program is expanding to Stark County. The new 3,200 square foot office is located at 401 West Tuscarawas Street, Suite # 501 in Canton, Ohio.
The top floor suite features a professional atmosphere with a large boardroom and amazing views of the city. The office is located 1.5 blocks from the courthouse and 2 blocks from our community partner and main referral source, Stark County Children’s Services.
Since August 2009, Berea Children’s Home and Family Services has a contract with Stark County Children’s Services to provide services to Stark County in the home, schools and community. By providing a variety of services in clients’ homes, each family is able to receive treatment to help youth and families with a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.
In accordance with our strategic plan, we will have increased our capacity and will be providing mental health assessment, counseling, Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST) and family-focused services to 300+ Stark County area children, adults and families per year.
"We are committed to providing Stark County with high quality In Home services," said Monica Mlinac, Family Treatment Supervisor, "Since 1986, Berea Children’s Home and Family Services has been providing In Home services to Cuyahoga County with great outcomes. In Home services are effective to meeting the client's needs and we are looking forward to partnering with other community agencies to provide this specialized niche service to children and families in Stark County."
Berea Children's Home and Family Services is grateful to the Stark Community Foundation who made our new office possible due to the generosity of a charitable grant.
